EIT Food: RIS Inspire Program 2023 - Application deadline: September 23, 2023

Registration is open for the new edition of the program "EIT Food: RIS Inspire - Sustainable Food Production and Consumption: New Deep Tech Approaches, Methods and Tools", in which the Department of Management at the University of Turin is a partner for the second consecutive year.

This project is aimed at undergraduate and graduate students, as well as doctoral candidates, who wish to take advantage of the opportunity to embark on a free four-week training program.

The course will provide an overview of the food production and consumption chain, with a focus on Deep Tech innovations. Key topics covered during this edition will include Sustainable Agriculture, Targeted Nutrition, Alternative Proteins, and Digital Traceability.

The course will be delivered by faculty members and industry experts through a blended synchronous and asynchronous approach (online and offline). It will allow participants, divided into teams, to develop and co-design a creative and innovative idea to promote a healthier and more sustainable lifestyle through the food system. The program will last for 4 weeks and will take place in the evening hours (from 17:00 to 20:00 - CET) to accommodate students and working professionals.

During these 4 weeks, participants will work in interdisciplinary teams with the support of mentors. At the end of the course, the various teams will have the opportunity to present their ideas in a pitch contest, where a panel of experts will award the top three teams with the most innovative idea based on a shared set of criteria. Winning participants will receive both a certificate of merit and a prize.

Furthermore, enrolled students will receive 5 ECTS credits and a digital Open Badge certifying the skills acquired during the course.
